Two weeks ago, wifey and I attended another Better Business Brunch.
Although we enjoyed the first one we went to, where the speaker talked about TradeGecko, our weekends are typically full. However, as soon as I saw the list of speakers for their last event for 2013, there was no way I was not going to be there.
Honestly, I was not familiar with Jimmy Cassells and Oliver Segovia, but I’ve heard of their work and that would have been enough to convince me, but there was more. Nix Nolledo and Joey Gurango would also be there. That sealed it. I registered right away then cleared out other stuff on my calendar.
And, boy, was I glad I did that. These awesome entrepreneurs surely did not disappoint. It was truly a learning-filled weekend.
You can find some “nuggets” that these amazing speakers shared here: Better Business Brunch Recap: Disrupt or be Disrupted
I was also able to list some nuggets that I liked:
- @JoeyGurango: Live Virtually. Work Virtually. Earn Virtually using Social Media #betterbusiness
- @JimmyCassells: Read! Read! Read!
- @nixnolledo: What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? What are you doing now?
And my personal favourite…
- @privera: Surround yourself with people you want to become. If you’re friends are losers, you will be a loser. So check your friend list
Again, thanks to New Leaf Ventures for organizing this and I look forward to more events next year.
If you guys want to join their future events, you can…
